Thousands Celebrate Abkhazia's Freedom

Thousands of people in Sakarya celebrated the 20th anniversary of Abkhazia's freedom in Akbalık, Sakarya (Turkey) on September 22, 2013. "Abkhazia's Victory and Freedom Day", AyaayraAmş in Abkhazian, was organized ,  by the Federation of Caucasian Associations in Turkey (Kaffed), and Sakarya, Hendek, Kocaeli and Düzce Caucasian associations.

The festival was attended by a delegation from Abkhazia, and it included Alyas Asabua from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dimitri Gunba (MP), Con Smır (Abkhazia State Repatriation Committee), Vadim Haraziya (Vice Mayor of Gulripsh), Vahtang Abhazou (Editor of Apsadgil Agueysıbj Newspaper), Axra Pachulya (artist), Erik Mikaa (artist), Alxas Cholakua (Abkhazia State Television), Sırma Ashupha (journalist), Robert Vaniya (Abkhazia State Television) and Vladimir Ayuzba (Representative of Abkhazia in Turkey).

There were a number of guests from Turkey as well: Mustafa Büyük (Sakarya Governor), Engin Özkoç (Sakarya MP), Kadir Gökmen Öğüt (Istanbul MP), Ali İhsan Yavuz (Sakarya MP), Zeki Toçoğlu (Sakarya Mayor), Altınok Öz (Kartal Mayor), Yaşar Yazıcı (Akyazı Mayor), Şemsi Bayraktar (President of the Union of Agricultural Chambers), Kamuran Mustafa Ballı (Akyazı District Governor), Önder Bozkurt (Sogutlu District Governor),Bilal Soykan (Kuzuluk Mayor) and Mahmut Kösemusul (SATSO President).

Thousands of people attended the festival and shared the joy of freedom with the Abkhazian people.
